Another update. 26 weeks

Not a whole lot has changed in these last few weeks. The additional ultrasound at 24 weeks was eventfhl. The tech got a quick look at the heart and kidneys. But baby girl? was curled up in a ball with the cord between its legs and the lady just moved the wand over for no more than 5 seconds and said "sorry". We didnt get any pictures either. I was pretty disappointed with the whole thing. At this check up, I also had to do the 1 hour glucose test, which I failed. A week later I took the 3 hour test and that was miserable. Not necessarily from the drink or the fasting, but because it took 3 nurses and 9 pokes to get the 4 blood draws. I'm really surprised I didnt bruise much since they had to dig around a lot. The belly is getting bigger, but thankfully the sciatic pain has almost completely gone away. My hips get sore in the mornings and evening. Heart burn revved up a bit. And I had my first vertigo attack in over a year. I'm chalking it up to stress though. A cowo...

I'm doing pretty great at this blogging thing right? for Christmas I decided to go to "Fetal Studio" to have an elective ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby at 16 weeks. The tech was super nice and I got to see the little baby. I asked that he not tell me the sex of the baby but instead write it down and put it in a sealed envelope. The funny thing is that when I went to the doctors office for my official 20 week ultrasound, she was cozied up right behind my belly button so he couldnt tell us the sex of the baby (even though we already know). So I get ANOTHER ultrasound at my next appointment at 24 weeks. Other that not being able to get a view of the kidneys and 1 of the heart valves, everything looked perfectly healthy. She's currently measuring about 12" long and weighs about 10 or 11 ounce...

I'll be posting about those other exciting life changes eventually but I wanted to get this post up while all these feelings are fresh and new. And hopefully be able to share these sweet moments with our future child. However, I plan on sharing a bit on the TMI side but hopefully not too much.  Now, we weren't planning on getting pregnant as quickly as we did. I was having some issues with birth control and decided to go off. Plus we were both on the same page of "well if have a baby right away, we are in a place where it wouldn't be awful". I was having feelings like maybe we should wait so that I can lose some weight and we can get a bigger savings fund in order and then maybe start trying in a year. But once I really thought on that and prayed about it, those things didn't seem worth putting off starting our family for an...
